Andrew Mellen, Top 20 Under 40

West Company is proud to announce that Andrew Mellen has been named to ENR Texas and Louisiana's 2012 Top 20 Under 40 list. Look for the announcement in the February 20, 2012 issue.

West Company Opens Phoenix Location

West Company is excited to announce the opening of a Phoenix location. Given current conditions of the Phoenix market and its potential for growth, West Company's leadership team felt this was the perfect opportunity to make a strategic entry into the area. West Company has appointed Roger Theis, PE as Director of the Phoenix office. Formerly of Phoenix-area firms TDR Group, Kimley-Horn and Coe & Van Loo, Roger brings a wealth of experience in civil engineering for medical, landside aviation, commercial and master-planned communities. Roger will lead all operations for the Phoenix office. West Company has also hired Randy Hager, RLS as a Survey Manager. Formerly of Phoenix-area firm DEI Professional Services, Randy also brings extensive experience in surveying commercial sites and master-planned communities. Randy is currently assisting West Company's Midland location with the growth of its commercial and residential operations. West Company will leverage the experience of Roger and Randy along, with the strength of its current portfolio, to service the needs of its Arizona clientele.

Andrew Mellen Graduates from Leadership Midland

Andrew Mellen, along with 24 classmates, graduated from Leadership Midland. The Leadership Midland program is part of the Midland Chamber of Commerce and involves a nine month course aimed at developing community leaders. The 2011 Class was able to raise over $25,000 in various amounts for five Midland organizations.

Andrew Mellen, Young Engineer of the Year

Andrew Mellen, Civil Engineering Manager, was honored with the Texas Society of Professional Engineers Permian Basin Chapter 2011 Young Engineer of the Year award. Selection was based upon engineering achievements and professional experience, along with civic, humanitarian, professional society and technical society activities.

New Hire - Andrew Hobby EIT

Born and raised in Midland, Texas, Andrew graduated from MHS in 2004. In 2008 Andrew graduated with a Civil Engineering degree from Texas A&M. He stayed on to get his Master’s, and then moved back to Midland, coming to work for the West Company in 2010.
