PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Newman is West Company of Midland, Inc.’s Executive Vice President and he has more than twenty-nine (30) years of surveying experience including twenty-five (25) years of boundary surveying in Texas. Mr. Newman is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of survey crews, quality control and reviewing final documents prior to release to our clients. Prior to his employment with West Company of Midland, Inc., Mr. Newman has had previous work experience in New Mexico, California and Arizona. Some of his responsibilities have included:

Supervision of surveying and preparation of boundary and topographic survey plats for the National Weather Service site located near Midland International Airport, Midland County, Texas.

Supervise surveying and preparation of plat for 1500-acre oil and gas mineral lease located in Pecos County, Texas for K.M. Skarr utilizing the Global Positioning System.

Supervise survey and preparation of survey reports to locate numerous water table monitoring wells over a wide spread area of Winkler County, Texas for Daniel B. Stephens & Associates utilizing the precision and accuracy of GPS.

Supervise survey and preparation of survey reports to provide high precision geodetic positions for control stations located in Sterling County, Texas for Watson & Associates.

Supervise surveying and preparation of plats, drawings and base maps for approximately 2,300 oil and gas well locations, located in and around the greater Permian Basin area of western Texas and eastern New Mexico.

Supervise surveying, data processing, quality control and preparation of reports, drawings and maps for location of approximately 60 miles of water distribution canals located in Reeves County, Texas. Also for location of approximately 600 miles of oil and gas gathering lines located in Andrews, Ector, Martin and Midland Counties, Texas.
